Participants in the 2006 NPC will be competing for the
following prizes and honors:
Four slots for the top finishers in the 2006 World Pool Championship
slated in November at the Philippine International Convention Center.
The first-place winner will be officially crowned the 2006 National Pool
Champion of the Philippines by the country's governing body for billiards,
the Billiards and Snooker Congress of the Philippines.
A prize fund totaling over P2 million, broken down as follows:

First, the tournament will send its two top players into
the 2006 World Pool Championship which will be held at the Philippine
International Convention Center in November.
Second, the tournament will be a key criterion in the
selection of the country's players for the Asian Games in Doha in December.
And thirdly, the tournament will formally proclaim a
Filipino national champion in nine-ball pool.
